An apple a day…

In planning out this month’s treat subscription menu, it dawned on me what we’re planning on doing tomorrow-we’re going to go & pick apples! With lots of fresh apples on hand, we’ll be sure to incorporate them into our treats this month! ???
A little bit about why apples are good for your dog(s) and why they are a good, healthy snack:

Not only do apples have a good amt. of vitamins A, K, and C, they are also a good source of fiber. Consuming apples can also aid in decreasing some diseases (cancer, bone disease, etc.) Apples help keep your dog’s bones and tissue healthy!

Just watch out for the core, stem, and seeds as they can not only become a choking hazard, but be toxic (the core and seeds contain cyanide!) While apples can make a healthy snack, eating too much can cause a belly ache!

*Any time a new food is being introduced into your dog’s diet, it’s best to be done in small quantities. In this case, it probably should be kept small to prevent stomach aches!*

Sounds like the popular saying “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” can be true for humans; as well as, dogs too!!! ???
